Hotfoot Convention

Times are a-changing, and finally Australia is catching up with our overseas counterparts in the field of Farriery.

While the American Farriers Convention has run annually for 14 years, 1997 will be the year of the inaugural Australian Farriery Convention.

Presented by publishers of this website, Laurel Enterprises in conjunction with the highly respected Post Graduate Foundation of the University of Sydney, the convention looks set to attract Equine Veterinarians, Farriers and horse owners from all over the country.

The convention will run over two days, the 27th and 28th July, at the beautiful Royal Randwick Racecourse in the heart of Sydney.

The keynote speaker will be Dr Doug Butler, professor, farrier, clinician and author of "The Principals of Horseshoeing II", all the way from Colorado USA.

He will be joined by two Australian speakers, Farrier Bill Neville and Veterinarian Dr Angus Adkins.

A special function will give respite from two days of technical discussion, to be held on the evening of Sunday the 27th July.

The cost of the convention is $297 for Farrier Association members or PGF members, or $330 for non members.
